Friends of Sheppey Little Theatre

On Friday 18 February 2011 we launched a major fund raising scheme to contribute to the biggest building project since the theatre started in 1975. We are building a two storey extension at the back of the theatre. The downstairs accommodation will provide improved toilet and shower facilities. The upstairs accommodation will provide a space for performers to wait to go on stage or to assemble when coming off stage. At present limited space means performers have had to wait at the bottom of the stair leading to the stage or in the wings which are very cramped. We need to raise £10,000 from our friends. We will be seeking the remainder of the £30,000 needed to complete the work from grant funding and our own funds where possible.

Businesses

We will be asking local businesses to help us by becoming a corporate friend. Ideally we would like four to five local businesses to donate between £100 and £500. We are also hoping to attract a principal sponsor who will help us produce 6,000 car stickers with Sheppey Little Theatre and their name on.

Groups

We will be asking local groups to donate £30 to help us reach our groups target of £600. We will be mentioning these groups help on our website.

Individuals

We will be organising a series of action days over a period of 9-12 months where we plan to publicise the theatre and invite people to help us raise money by contributing £10 per person , in return Friends will receive a car sticker and a balloon.
